Many of you know…
I LOVE mornings!
It is my quiet time to do whatever I want to do. Today I am working with a new mantra for my mornings.
I am asking myself:
“What can I do in this moment that
I can not or will not do or be able to do later?
How can I maximize this gift of time that is just for me?”
I have tried focusing on my time before however, I have to admit, I have not been doing such a great job of holding myself to doing this.
I get sidetracked with shiny objects. Doing laundry, playing on Facebook…you know I love reconnecting in the morning, taking pictures and posting them of the sunrise (my children make fun of me about this one)
checking email when I first get up…really?…turning on the TV (even though I don’t really want it on) and the list goes on.
What I am committed to doing and I am declaring it to you is that I am going to do some form of exercise every morning, and continue with meditating, journaling and having a healthy breakfast before I get ready to go to work.
I am sure I will slip a peak into my email and Facebook but only after I have taken the time to do the things that will continue to move me forward in the direction I really want to go in my life first.
What about you? What gift could you give yourself if you focused on a little bit of “you/me” time every day?





Great Idea! Morning alone time is such a magical gift! I’m going to revive my morning meditation practice.
Great goals for a great morning Clare! It’s funny how we get distracted with things we don’t even want to have in our routine (tv, FB, etc). Good for you for declaring a new committment to YOU!
